Below is the List of the Basic Needs and Necessities for GRACE INTERNATIONAL

ORPHANAGE HOME FACILITY CENTRE.

7.1 GROCERIES

  •  Maize-meal Any breakfast Cereal (e.g., Mabela, Oats etc) Powder Milk,
  • Inkomazi/Amasi and Fresh Milk
  •  Rice, Samp and Beans, Macaroni, Soups, Soya mince, Sugar, Tea, Tin fish Peanut
  • butter, Tin or canned food, Rama, Jam Cheese/Polonies for lunch boxes for
  • school, Bread and Baking Flour, Baking Powder, Meat of all kind, Concentrated
  • Juice, Fruits and Vegetables, (And Other Food Items Not Mentioned Above)

7.2 TOILETRIES AND OTHER ITEMS

  • Washing Powder (OMO /SUNLIHGHT/ SURF/ MAQ etc)
  • Toiletries: Bathing Soap, Sanitary Pads, Dettol chemical, Lotions or Vaseline,
  • Toothpaste
  • Cleaning Material: Domestos, Air fresheners, Handy-Andy, Pine Jery, Jik, Dish
  • washing Soap.
  • Large plastic gloves and Heavy-Duty Black Refuge bags Panado Syrup and
  • Panado Tables and any kids’ painkillers ,Wipers
  • Toys- equipment for playing
  •  Toilet Tissues
  • First Aid Box or Items

7.3 CLOTHES

  • Winter clothes, School Jerseys and School tracksuits, (SCHOOL UNIFORMS) SCHOOL
  • BAGS, STATIONERY, SCHOOL SHOES
  • We need both Winter and Summer Clothing for all 15 kids in centre and plus 10
  • orphan kids staying outside our Centre. Items such as Tracksuits, Lumber Jackets,
  • Jerseys and Sports Shoes, Wooden Beds, Mattresses, Pillows and Blankets

7.4 SOLAR POWER SYSTEM

  • We are looking for an alternative for Eskom Energy which we suffer in times of Load
  • shading which result is our panic due to lack of a suitable alternative for Electricity.
  • a Solar Power System would be of much help so as not to struggle in times of no
  • Eskom Electricity.

7.5 HOUSE RENT AND UTILITY BILLS PAYMENTS FOR THE HOME FACILITY

  • As a small non-profit organization, we face several financial challenges in our mission
  • to care for these vulnerable children. Additionally, our facility is a Rented House
  • hence the costs including Rent Fee, high Water Bills and Gas for cooking, Electricity
  • Bills (etc) give us a significant burden on our limited resources to meet the Budget.
  • We therefore urge you to support us with Payments for the Home Facility House
  • Rent which is currently at R9,350 payable to the Landlady (owner).
  • Our monthly Utility Bills for Water, Electricity and Gas is estimated at R5,000 per
  • month.

MEDIUM TERM NEEDS AND GOALS FOR THE HOME FACILITY CENTRE

  • Below are our Medium Term Needs that we desire to accomplish and your help
  • rendered in form of Money/ Equipment/ Services will be highly appreciated.

8.1 SOLAR POWER SYSTEM

  • We are looking for an alternative for Eskom Energy which we suffer in times of Load

8.2 WATER STORAGE TANK AND RAINWATER HARVEST SYSTEM

  • As a way of being proactive in times of No Water Supply, we are looking for an
  • installation of Tank Water System which will enable us to reserve water for the use
  • in times of no Water Supply.
  • On the same issue of Water Supply, we are looking for donation in cash or
  • Equipment to harvest water in times of Rain Season (in form of Water Tank, Pipes,
  • Gutters and whole plumbing system) as our water bill is very high. If we could
  • succeed in this project, we hope to reduce our water bill from our average bill per
  • month during Rain Season

8.3 MEANS OF TRANSPORT (VEHICLE)

  • We require a Vehicle (s) to transport our children to and from wherever supposedly.
  • The vehicle will be used to take the kids to and from the Clinics, Hospital and Home-
  • Visits by their Social Worker and Social Auxiliary workers. The Vehicle is also required
  • used to pick and collect Food Parcels from the Supermarkets or to pick up the
  • Donations from those who want us to go and collect them by ourselves.

OUR LONG TERM NEEDS AND GOALS

  • As Grace International Orphanage, we have long term plans that we have for the
  • betterment of the livelihood of our beloved kids both residing within the Home
  • Facility premises and those that we support from the Community. To achieve this
  • long term plans we ask for Donations that would would support us to achieve our
  • plans.

9.1 A LARGE PLOT OF LAND OR A BIG HOUSE WITH A BIG YARD

  • We ask and plead for the Government Funding, Private Donors, Companies, Well
  • Wishers, Religious Organizations and the Community at large to support us to
  • accomplish our goal of buying our own Large Plot of Land to build our own Facility
  • Centre with all the necessary required Structures therein.

Our Main Aim is to have this project in one big land or plot of land, which will be Big enough to building a big Home that will accommodate as many children as possible the children from newborn to aged 18 so we will not be limited due to space and to support all age group and have our schools from Day care, Preschool, High School and construct Workshops for Technical Training and also to have a big ground for playing and parking. Also space to do agriculture. Also if possible we would love to buy the same house we are renting by negotiating with the Landlord lady of this place to stop have guarantee of freedom for the Facility.
